When I was a senior in high school, my friend Randy met us at a restaurant for us to see his baby blue Camaro that he had just refurbished. ~~yawn~~ I really could care. But like a dutiful friend, I congregated with the others in the parking lot. Yep. There it was. A beautiful, baby blue, Camaro. Can we go back to our lunch now? Then Randy lifted the hood and I stood there dumb struck. He had replaced every. single. piece. of the engine with a chrome piece. The whole engine was freaking chrome. It was the most amazing site! I can’t say that I became a gearhead after that, but I’ll never forget the sight of that magnificent engine.
